I play Grand Theft Auto: Online. Can using FiveM or joining this server get me banned?

No, FiveM does not edit your base GTA install in any way and in no way will it get you banned.

Is the Project Homecoming series of FiveM servers private or whitelisted? Do I have to be a member of a certain crew to join?

Okay okay I get it! Here we go (I only know the keyboard stuff I can't help with gamepad):

F7 key- Opens up the most useful menu in the game. This is where you can actually join races and do a lot of other things like spawning and saving cars, saving your character's look and

Shoot, it crashed

FiveM is a somewhat inconsistent program. Some people find it just as stable as GTAO, other people find it to be exceptionally crash-happy.

If the game crashes or you lose connection to the server, take a deep breath and reconnect. It sucks to no longer be a part of a race, especially if the race is getting good, but there's plenty more chances to battle in the future.

Nice! If someone's offering to host some races and people are interested, close out your testing by going to the F7 menu > test > end test (I think). Then just wait for them to host and join the race! Good luck out there, speedy speed player!

Why does turn one suck so much?

I hate to say it, but turn 1 sucks because people suck. If you drive as hard as possible into turn 1, you will crash and you will lose places. If someone else drives as hard as possible into turn 1, you may crash and lose places. In general, turn 1 is one of the most frustrating parts of a race unless you handle it well.

This guide goes over proper ways to limit FiveM to 60FPS without using VSync or affecting other games.

This below methods work for Windowed Borderless and Fullscreen.

Nvidia Control Panel

As of version 441.87, NVidia has finally introduced a configurable FPS limiter to the Nvidia Control Panel.

Gotcha, go to the F7 menu, vehicles and choose a vehicle to spawn! Assigned vehicles are vehicles that the devs have messed with the balance of, or added outright. These are the ones you'll actually race with, so in general you should look at these but some of your old favorites may not be added yet! If so, check unassigned and see if you can find it.

I just hit someone, what do?

Pull over and wait for them to catch up! If you ruin someone else's race, you deserve the same fate and while it will suck at the time you'll feel better about doing it than leaving someone behind. But! Think for a moment before you just stop in the middle of the road, make sure you choose a place to stop that isn't going to lead to issues for other racers. The last thing you want to do is, in the middle of trying to be courteous, cause other drivers to have issues.…

Well, you can! Anyone can join in on racing, just wait for a new race to start and then hit F7 and join the race! At this point, you will select the car you want to drive from a list of available cars the host has chosen. Pay attention to the chat, the host may want drivers to avoid a certain car because it's bad or too good or they just don't like it.

Latency (the time it takes for data to go from your pc to someone else's pc) and thus desync (your car being in a different position or doing something slightly different than what you're really doing in someone else's view) is an annoying, but constant reality of online play.
Some asshole just hit me, what do??

Did said asshole stop and wait for you? Well then great, get back into the race with them and enjoy a battle with an apologetic driver! Did they not stop and wait? Well then let them know that they knocked you off, but do so after the race. Telling someone that they screwed up isn't going to win you back places, racing will win you back places. Odds are, they didn't notice due to lag and they'll be extremely sorry. Most importantly, don't retaliate no matter …

This guide covers how to set up a Replay Buffer using OBS Studio. Other methods such as Shadowplay are acceptable but OBS is generally preferred by the community for its simplicity and ease of use.

Note: This guide covers using OBS with NVENC. NVENC is more efficient than recording x264 via CPU. Using X264 puts a heavy strain on the CPU and will affect your game performance. You should have at least an

The way the server works is that certain players get the Racer role, which means that they're trusted enough to choose enjoyable races, get everyone to join in and generally make a good time for everyone.

If nobody with this role is around, no official racing will be had. This may seem a little lame, but think about how badly someone could mess up a race! 99 laps of North Loop in surfer vans

Racecraft is a valuable skill to have. In essence, racecraft is your ability to change your driving to better respond to the other cars around you - often, this means taking racing lines (the path through a turn) other than the fastest one in order to potentially give yourself an advantage against the driver you're battling, but racecraft also comes down to nerves and experience. Being comfortable driving right next to someone means y…

Random races are, as you might know, a unique feature to this server where, every single lap, you get a random car to drive! It may be a random car in a class or an entirely random car. At the moment, this is completely random - you can get the tractor, the surf van and the air tug while someone else gets the adder, the t20 and the [insert sweet hip raddest car here]. Unlike in testing, rather than being immediately teleported to the track you will get a painfully long loading screen before you appear at the track. Like testing, you will be floating in the air.

Just give W a little tap and you'll fall onto the track, landing in your starting position. You may see some people moving, but unless the host is giving instructions for people to have a specific setup, try not to drive around just yet! There'll be plenty of time for that in the race.
