General questions
I play Grand Theft Auto: Online. Can using FiveM or joining this server get me banned? No, FiveM does not edit your base GTA install in any way and in no way will it get you banned.
Is the Project Homecoming series of FiveM servers private or whitelisted? Do I have to be a member of a certain crew to join?
The Project Homecoming: Racing server is open for all to join, with the exception of times when work is being done by staff or a scheduled closed event is being hosted.
Is this server affiliated with insert crew/party/individual here?
No, this server is an independent project featuring members from many different creative communities but is not officially tied to any other group.
On Project Homecoming: Racing I see others can host a race on their own for people to join. How can I host a race myself?
Races can only be hosted by those with the "Racer" role. The "Racer" role is for trusted members of the Project Homecoming community and can be earned by simply playing on the server and participating in races.
How many new vehicles are there on the Project Homecoming servers?
We have added over 150 new or returning vehicles to the game, ranging from vehicles from past GTA games to full custom new vehicles.
I hear the word "Modkit" used quite often with relation to vehicles. What exactly are modkits and why are they important?
A modkit is the data that controls what addons, upgrades, liveries, etc. can be applied to a car. For a car to have it's own custom parts other than normal performance upgrades, it must have a modkit. Before the Doomsday update to GTA Online, the base game had 255 modkits to use, with the majority taken up by vehicles in the base game. Now the base game has support for up to 1024 modkits, which means practically limitless potential for new, fully customizable cars. As soon as FiveM updates to the Doomsday version of GTA V we will have access to this feature.
